after not sleeping a wink the night before, we headed off at 9 and pushed up blacombe mountain for 2 hours, after a hot, sweaty and very tiresom hike, we arrived at hey bud. snapped a few shots on the way down, a pretty fun trail, no where near as good as ride don't slide, but good to explore.
I took this shot of chris gray as we went, roost and dust.

I realise this shot has been done before, by clay porter, in Dirt magazine a fair while ago.

I thought i would give it a go.

It involved sticking my video camera out of a top window of my house, precarously balanced using an old tripod, a pillow

and the 3rd harry potter book.

I then layed most stuff out, obviously i'm not taking 3 t-shirts ect. but it give you the idea.

So i posted the video, but with no realy information as to how the even went.

A really steep, loose, dust, and wild track, deffiantly appreciated by the riders.

Standing at the top gave an impressive view over the llangollen valley and into the town bellow. but also down to the pits and the finish, something you don't get much. You could hear the commentators all the way up the hill ( don't know if thats good or bad) and 90% of the track could be seen from the finish area!
It felt like you could jump at the top, and you would make it into the finish line.

Tom Puxley developed these new cranks for increased corner rail abilitys!

The most technical section, with lots of gnarly line choices. and lots of crash's

Pretty much the the whole track is very open, and surrounded by ferns!

Its quite possible that bernard had killed one of his two brothers, and wanted help hinding the evidance.
Lucky enough, it was just to build a pump track.

Start with 15tonnes of earth spread it across your garden.

Some strong french beer

add some lights and you end up with a sweet pump track, ready to ride 24h's a day!

Round 3 of the BDS. From the steepest track of the series, Llangollen, Wales!

Really fun weekend, lots of good friends, and lots of good riding. Best round yet!

Me and Sam Boardman left the site at 7.30. I edited in the car as we went, and we got home at 12.15. I then finished off the editing, and exported (with the wrong aspect ratio) and uploaded.
Whilst waited for it to upload at around 4.30, i fell asleep!

Back up at 8.30, send out e-mails to all the people.
now thats commitment!

This is what a tyre looks like MID explosion. Ste hit the berm hard and rolled the tire of the Rim the inner tube exploded and was as loud as a gun shot.
This is the inner tube mid-explosion thats not dust.. thats air coming out of the tyre. You can also see the rim bending if you look closly.

Back from a long ski season, and being of the bike for a while, i would say his tables arn't looking too shabby.

Ok.. this one has to be viewed in LARGE its like a little game.. spot the rider.

It just shows, if you keep your eyes peeled.. there are trails everywhere!

27 hours

I've been up for 27 hours straight.. Now 27 and a half.

In the time i have:
Taken an exam
spent 6 hours in the library revising
watched Anthill's new film "follow me" (disapointing)
and Been out on a ride at 5am

we went out as the light started coming out, to shoot some shots of a rising sun.
The sun didn't rise as epicly as we had expected, but we still managed to get some quite nice stuff!

How to Draw a BMW, in 7 easy steps

Part of my Uni work is a drawing module.
I set to work drawing a BMW 3 series coupé.

Here is how to draw it, in 7 easy steps!

Start with some linework.

Then add some basic marker shading to the bodywork and wheels.

Slowly darken the shading and add tyres and highlights.

Add shadows, more shading and tyre grooves.

Add the lights with marker.

Improve the lights with pencil and add windows and top body work with pastels.

add window boardering and car internals.tweak exhaust pipes and pastel the wheel.

Then...You're done.

I get back to my Uni flat after a long day in the Product Design Studio, to find i have a parcel waiting down at reception.

I go down and pick it up.. Its large Square and quite heavy. and it comes from somewhere in Nottingham.

I take it up-stairs and open it. Green Foam stuff stares back at me.

Halo BDS Rheola Video

I spent a sunny weekend down at rheola in wales and shot this video.

I'm quite pleased with the final result. The Video was first on the internet by almost a day. I had the fastest turn around time and production speed of all film-makers at the event.

It was a good weekend, cleaned up by the Athertons with the Results as follows:

I headed to Max Lenthall's house last night and stayed over to get an early start.

Max, Harry Molloy, Ross and I headed out and met up with steve at our super secret location.

we went to ride some short and sweet, but super fun mulchy rutty tracks i did a bit of filming, got to ride my new bike and took a few shots.

I headed of to Weston Beach Race to film for Red Bull Reporter.

The video turned out pretty good, although i hate taking photos there.
I shot these at the very end of the day, after i stoped filming. it was getting dark, so there shot at ISO 1600. the very max the little D70 can reach!

The footage will eventuall be used in my new short film!

I just filmed 3 friends to see what they got up to in autumn, It just happened to be the time when it was super wet and muddy!

The Next flim is hopefully going to be alot longer, and more professional. I am deffinatly going to spend more time on it!

I headed down towards Portsmouth to ride and photo portsmouths uni's secret downhill tracks.

We got there mid morning and it was very very wet and muddy, i didnt really take any photos but did some filming with DH nipper Jamie Hoare. Who has really imporved since spending a season in France. That edited will be part of a short film out late.. in the mean time, here are some photos!

I went to the Weston Beach Race to cover what went on and make a short film for Red Bull. On the main event on sunday the weather was terrible, the vision and bad organisation led to a huge pile up on the first straight, Seven riders injured, multiple ambulances and a air ambulance. Ty Kellit (16) is still in hospital, but making a steady recovery. Get well soon

So i was left having to make a video with only footage from saturday, As this wasnt first planned i shot all saturday in mind that not much of the footage would need to be used. So i didnt have much footage, and not much of this was good.

Went to 4A Jam after i got back from Whistler.

It was all pretty relaxed, pretty fun. I got out my camera for a few shots

This weekend is the Summer Ride Festivle Held by Huckmonkey/MBUK/DMR whatever!

Although i haven't taken any photos on the mountain, i have taken some others

We had a knew arrival, call Max, it turned out we know all the same people and have probably met before, he rides junior 4X for Fly racing.

Last night/evening, we all headed down to a pump track, just 500 meters from our chalet!

Its absolutely crazy loads of pumps, some nice berms and lots of speed!

I got out the camera and get a few shots!

Whistler Arrival

A 9 hour flight of bad food and 20 annoying Spanish girls who couldent get enough of rory's beautiful face...

We eventually arrived in sunny Vancouver, a completely different city to anything in the UK, Busy Bustling and loomed over by tall snow capped mountains.

We began Our journey in a 2.5 litre V8 beast of a Truck/Van with Pete from Bear Back Biking throught the conjested grid roads of vancover.

Eventually we arrive on the shore road leading from Vancover straight up to Whistler through squirmish.

The Road was amazing, Tall Mountains on the right and the Sea/Lakes on the other, filled with huge islands that grew out of the sea. I was so tired, but had to keep my eyes open to try and see the amazing views.

Eventually, after about 2 hours, we arrive at our Challet, a tall 3 story building with various balconys, a hot tub, a huge garage and just 50m from whistlers largest lake!

We quickly unloaded our bikes, and started to build them up, before falling into bed, after a very long and very jetlaged day.

We woke at 6 in the morning, the jetlag messing with our minds, 2 hours of stoak up music ensued ready for the trails ahead. We Ran up to breakfast at 8 and stuffed bacon and cheese down our throats before heading to the trails.

The Trails where amazing, super smooth, not many breaking bumps and lots of features, jumps, gaps berms drops.

Hopefully some riding photos/videos to come...

Just got back, so tired, but it was so so fun!

The even was dominated by Sam Reynolds in every way.

He did a run, which has never been done in mountainbikeing...in the space of three jumps we saw a frontflip and a 720
